My current favorite summer hat

It's washable and ever-so-wearable. It's comfy, cool and provides good coverage. And it's in earth tones.

I hope to be sporting a bicycle helmet most of next year. But the rattlers are out something fierce right now, and I'm not testing fate with the training wheel set.

For blackbird
and yes, it's a day early. I had an adult handy today to help. Oldest tends to shoot great pictures of nostril hairs.

Crap! I forgot all about show and tell.

I love your hat. I wish I looked good in them.

I don't have any hats. I'm like PJ. Don't look good in 'em.

I wear hats ALL the time. Visors, funky gardening hats (like a sombrero, practically), baseball caps, etc. Also sunscreen. On my hands, too. I am getting turkey neck from not wearing sunscreen and big enough hats when I was younger. So, you guys save your skin! Wear hats. Wear tons of sunscreen. I have bad scars where I've had basal cell carcinoma burned off my chest and hands.

momslo - aren't the rattlers something? They say it's the drought. First, it was prairie dogs dead all over the road. Now it's snakes. What's next? A Plague of Locusts?

Sunglasses are from Walgreens. $9 I buy cheap ones as the boys still 'exercise' them and pop the hinges.

Looks like a good one!

I had problems taking the photo too, that whole mirror/angle thing gets me.
And Middle is asleep, and would purposely take a shot of my neck...I just know it.

Beautiful hat! I would love a hat like that, but have yet to find the right one. That one looks perfect.

I never find hats that fit as well as the one you are wearing. I would wear hats all the time, like you, if I could find them. You must have the knack.

I forgot to post The Very Best Thing about this hat; it is adjustable. ADJUSTABLE, ladies and gents. There is a casing in the headband, with a comfy drawstring. I can adjust it to fit even my teeny-headed son. And me? With the big fat head? Fits perfectly. No more men's hats for me!

I got it at the Walking Company. $50 which was alot. I've already gotten my money's worth due to how much I've worn it.

Love it!

Must get my beanie up there (how I envy you summer!)

Err, by rattlers you mean the snake, right?

And they say Australia has dangerous wildlife...
